Baltimore School of Music is launching this fall the early childhood music program Mini Maestros for children ages 18 months to 10-years-old.
"Baltimore School of Music knows how important it is for young children to cultivate their musical abilities from an early age," said Baltimore School of Music Director James Lowe. "With Mini Maestros our youngest students will be able to have fun making music and begin to develop their musical talents, which we hope will lead to a lifelong love of music.”
The program has four offerings: Rhythm and Movement for children ages 18 months to 3-years-old, Musical Fanfare for ages 3 to 5, Guitar for ages 7 to 10 and Violin for ages 4 to 8. Registration opens in June and classes begin in September.
Mini Maestros is offered in addition to Baltimore School of Music’s private music lessons, from piano and flute to voice and guitar.
Baltimore School of Music Director Lowe, a classical guitarist by training, earned a Bachelor of Music from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, a Master of Music from Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University and a Graduate Performance Diploma from the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University.
